Seven Weeks In and Traffic Mounts

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

First a little context.  even weeks ago I became a member of an article marketing service.  While I don’t actually know the guy that designed this remarkable tool for online marketers, I honestly feel as if I do, because I have heard his voice on so many training videos about how to use the many products and services I have purchased from him.  I think I am responsible for paying off his last car.

Because of my past experiences with this guy, I knew that this new concept would give me what I was looking for: An entirely unique, effective approach to content marketing.  I’m no different from any other online marketer, I’m always wanting more and more quality traffic, and who among us is not constantly looking for fresh one-way external links.  My primary approach for achieving both of these goals is distributing content to article directories.

This service has some advantages over traditional submission to article directories, though.  For example, I can now put my links directly into the body of the article rather than assigning them to a resource box.  That’s something that isn’t allowed in most article directories, but contextual linking offers greater benefits in terms of search engine optimization and traffic maximization.  Also, rather than being filtered through an article directory, my articles in this system can go directly to a website that is specifically related to my niche.  As with the previous benefit, that helps with regard to both traffic and SEO.  I can also put an affiliate link directly into the article if I choose, another “no-no” with article directory syndication.  Fourth, the distribution system has a built in article spinner, so that the version of the article that each website publishes can be unique.

Let me tell you what my membership has helped me achieve in the less than seven weeks that I have been a member.  I’ll present just a few of my results regarding my relationship with My Article Network.

You need to realize that the system gradually distributes articles to websites, so every article I’ve submitted so far is still yet to be published on some of its sites and other articles have just begun.  I have written not quite sixty articles for the system, so far–all very well spun.  Unique versions of those articles now appear on over 1900 pages on the web.  I am allowed to insert up to three links in each article, but I vary the number of links, so I estimate that the sites I have been promoting have added a cumulative total of around 4000 external links.  Obviously, it will require additional time for some of those links to be noticed by the various search engine.  In other words, a lot of the work that I’ve put into this distribution already will reach the maximum benefit months down the road.

About half the articles are directed toward my newest site, which I just started building three months ago.  Alexa couldn’t even find that site when I first joined this system, and now it has climbed in the Alexa rankings more than two million positions.  I’m a bit embarassed to admit it, but the new site gets more traffic already than some of my old sites that I have been working on for years.  For example, I have done nothing to my oldest site (no pages added, no new SEO, only 9 articles in this system pointing at it), and it has jumped 120,000 positions.  As far as I can tell, that additional traffic can be attributed only to this network and my measly efforts in writing content for distribution that is related to this niche in the past seven weeks.

I’m quite pleased with the results so far, but I have been lax in my tracking.  I didn’t even think of tracking the results of this program until six days ago–yeah, I know, I’m a slouch).  In that one week (little less) the eight sites that I have directly promoted through the service have increased a cumulative total of over 5 million positions in Alexa.  I realize that Alexa is not the finest measure of progress, but I still think that’s a very strong indication of getting my money’s worth and then some.

I became so enthused, I actually started four new blogs just to take advantage of all the free content that is available in this system.  By the way, adding websites is free; maybe that explains why there are over 10,000 sites in the system ready to publish articles!

I strongly suggest that you become a member of My Article Network.  Yes, you affiliate marketers out there, you can become an affiliate–after you join the article distribution service.

Superb Web Promotion Tips For Free

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

In my opinion the following examples of website promotion are the best ways to obtain an increase in traffic to your website. I have a large number of websites and these free tips have helped me to make them a huge success.

1. Pay per click advertising.

Pay per click advertising is becoming more and more popular with programs such as Google adwords reporting more and more people signing up to their service. I personally use pay per click however the costs are increasing each month as it like a form of auction. There are better ways of attracting visitors which are also free.

2. Writing articles.

Writing articles such as this one is my favourite form of web promotion. There are a growing number of free content or article websites who are more than happy to receive your article. That is as long as it is a quality article and not just full of keywords. When other site owners choose to include your article on their website or blog this in turn then gives you a free backward link. Then there is the additional links that you gain when you have the article published in the article directory itself. These links are of huge value as they are what are called one way links. With the explosion and likely long term popularity of blogs, which of course require content, articles are the future for obtaining links. Hopefully a large amount of people will get to read your article and these are also potential visitors to your website/s.

I have had some great success in promoting my composite doors and Currys Voucher Codes websites via article marketing.

3. Obtaining backward links.

If you are trying to gain extra traffic to your website, looking to increase your search engine position or hoping to increase your page rank, it is a must to increase the amount of backward links you have.

Five Simple Mistakes That Article Marketers Make

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Being one of the many successful article marketers is something that can come easily, particularly when using article submission software. There are, however, things you need to avoid which will keep you from being among many more who used to be article marketers and are now struggling to earn income. Done right article marketing can see huge great results in an exceedingly cost effective way. Article marketing done poorly can be a huge waste of your time, energy, and even money.

First mistake - making a dull title. Notice that the title of the article is going to be jumbled together with quite a few others that your potential reader has to choose between. There are numerous of you competing for the same set of eyes. Don’t let your title be something which will mix in with all of the rest. Make is something that will stand out and get spotted. Make sure that you aren’t getting too crazy and make sure that it has relevancy to the topic you wish to address, but , still be creative and you’ll stay competitive with other article marketers.

Second mistake - not having a clear purpose. What is the actual reason you want the reader to read your article? Is there a goal that you have in mind? Be clear as to what you want them to do and give them masses of reason to wish to take the action you would like them to take. Have a starting point and and ending point in planning your article and use everything in between to help them get from point ‘A’ to indicate ‘B’. This is something that article marketers fail to do all too frequently.

3rd mistake - not knowing your target market. Article marketers need to keep in mind who your target audience is write to their level. If you’re writing to a group of people who are often awfully informed about the subject matter, then you better make sure that you are as well . Find out what they ask when they are going online to search for this information and find the best way to relate to them. Study your market and write to them.

Fourth mistake - making articles that won’t get released. Glance at the standards that article directories have and write your articles to fit the most stern of standards. Ensure that you’ve got the minimum number of preferred words. Make sure that it is well crafted. Ensure that it does not have any issues with links within your article and that you link to appropriate places. Article marketers will most likely forget to check the article they try to submit and see if it is in compliance only to have it rejected.

5th mistake - no call to action. As article marketers you have to remember that your goal isn’t just to tell, but to invite the reader to go to your site or to take what ever action you would like them to take. Just as it is stunningly important to ask for the sale, it is important to ask them to click on the link that you provide.

If you, as article marketers, can avoid these simple mistakes you will find yourself on the fast track to success.

Manual And Affordable Article Submission Service

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Article marketing is becoming ever more popular with many webmasters starting to realise the many benefits of writing articles. The problem many of these people have is that they just do not have the time to write and submit these articles. This is where a service which offers a manual article submission service can prove invaluable.

Article marketing directories and websites are reporting record numbers of submissions. Many people are now aware of the importance of one-way backward links and thus article marteting is becoming ever more popular as a free form of web promotion. This is an excellent way of potentially gaining these one way links and an excellent form of web promotion.

Professional And Affordable Article submission service

As already stated not everyone has the available time to spend on article marketing. There are now a number of people/companies who are offering a service whereby they write and submit articles for you; there are of course the normal dross shooting out of Asia but if you stick to US or UK services then you will not go far wrong. Many of these people also offer an article writing and submission service, where by they will not only submit your article, they will actually write it for you as well.

One such site is articles-submission.com.com which offers this service. They offer to write an article for you and then to submit it to the twenty article directories for £10.

You may well believe that article marketing is already extremely popular with websites such as ezinearticles reporting record levels of articles being submitted. For me though this is only the tip of the iceberg as even today there are many people who have yet to cotton on to the power of writing articles.

I have been writing articles for around a year now to promote my cheap holidays website and have submitted over two hundred thus far. I have been more than pleased with the results and only wish I had known about this form of site promotion years ago.

Which Are The Best Article Directories?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

There are an ever increasing number of article directories springing up, attemting to take advantage of the popularity that has become of writing articles as a form of web promotion and have in the past even used a manual article submission service. What people can be unsure of however, is which of these sites to post their article to. In this article I write about the article directories which I use.

EzineArticles

The first directory that I ever posted an article to was the ever popular ezinearticles. It has only been around a year but I have to say that it seems like about five years. This directory was recommended to me by a friend who is a jobs in foster care expert and he also offers Voucher Codes. In my opinion is certainly one of the best. Prior to being published on their site they conduct a review of the article to ensure that it meets their editorial guidelines - this is what makes this article marketing directory stand out from the crowd - well it is one of the things.

I have noticed many of my own articles appearing in the main search engines, some after only a few days of being published. One of the first articles I submitted was called stuttering and its effects, this article is still placed in the top ten of google after many months.

If you are only planning on submitting your article to one directory this is the one I would advise that you use.

Goarticles

Many people, including a business contact who writes articles about obtaining cheap calls, have told me that they prefer to use goarticles when looking for an article to add to their site. For this reason alone, I always ensure that I submit my article to this directory.

Articlealley

The thing I like about articlealley is that they also include the article you submit to them on one or two of the sister sites. What is more you do not even have to do any additional work. Any extra exposure can only be a good thing of course.

Articledasboard

I have been advised that this directory is becoming increasingly popular and is one I should be posting my article to. The site has a page rank of six which is always a good sign.

Ideamarketers

This directory is my fifth choice in order of merit and has many interesting articles.

It is hard to know how many of these directories people should be submitting their article to. I have been given lots of different advice on this subject and have decided to come up with my own conclusion. I personally normally submit my articles to around twenty of these sites but always the five above.

Are you Prepared for some Article Marketing Techniques?

Keywords

- There are an endless list of reasons why you want to strategically pick your keywords. The Keywords you select are what allow you to be found in the search engines and are required to get Google’s first page rank. But there are many factors involved when determining effective keywords to use as an article marketer. I will show you where to look and how to use your new information to do a few tests to drill down your options to just two or maybe three keywords. As an article marketer Quality is whats important not the Quantity of keywords you are working with. I’ll show you how to strategically use your keywords without “stuffing” your articles so you don’t get a Google slap. Always keep in mind that keywords are the single most important thing you have in SEO and in article writing.

Blog

- If you’re an article marketer you HAVE TO HAVE A BLOG! There is no way around it, no matter your computer skill level you can create and update your Blog. It’s cheap…I’m talking FREE unless you host your own domain name which I highly recommend. A blog is very efficient in the way you post an article and also acts as a capture page that you can drive all of the traffic you get from your articles that you submit to different directories. A Profitable article marketer will always have a place for the readers to go, to see additional work that you may not have posted at that specific directory. For an example Google really likes blogs, and because of this you will be able to have your articles rank higher, and quicker. Trust me when I say that you are missing out on a huge opportunity to create income from your articles if you are not posting and directing your article submissions to a blog or website! I will not only walk you through where to get a blog but how to set it up along with picking up a domain name and making it all work. I’ll even show you how to do your first post along with some plugins an article marketer needs.

Once you finish those two trainings you will have a great place to send readers and post aricles using strong keywords. advertising, along with creating hundreds of back-links to solidify your rankings~Then we step into the WORLD OF PROMOTION, you will need to now get your article everywhere and to make sure they are being seen, to do this right you will leverage video and social marketing to build a big web of back-links and visability}.

You will see how you can develop a back-link strategy that promotes the ranking of your video and article submissions. If you don’t know Google bought YouTube, what this means is Google “love’s videos” allowing a video rank better and quicker than almost any article that’s written.

Make sure to key an eye out for the detailed Article Marketer trainings that will be released on YouTube. As well as the written version you can find by either on the home page of James Love’s blog or doing a quick search for Article Marketer.

How Article Marketing Can Increase Your Online Sales

Friday, February 5th, 2010

What is the best way to increase your online sales? How can I promote my website for free? What are the benefits of article marketing? Does article marketing work? These are questions that I am asked on a regular basis and are questions that I will be answering in this article.

I own a small business and have a number of websites which I use to promote the services that I offer. I am involved in providing Vodafone Voucher Codes as well as with a company that sell affordable front doors. As like I am sure the majority of webmasters out there, I wanted to attract as many people as I could to visit and read the content of the websites. At the outset due to my lack of knowledge of the best ways of promoting a website I enlisted the help of people who referred themselves as SEO experts. As it turned out neither were they, despite their claims of being an SEO expert.

After some particularly bad experiences with these so called experts of the SEO industry and after wasting a great deal of money I decided to attempt to educate myself on the art of web promotion. This was about seven years ago and one of the first things I was to learn was about the power of article marketing. I started to write articles and was astonished with the results, I was gaining additional traffic that were coming directly from the articles and the websites were also obtaining higher search engine rankings.

Article marketing has stood the test of time and is still as beneficial today as it was seven years ago. Article marketing is a free form of web promotion which is a major benefit to the small businessman!

I aim to write an average of one article per day and have managed to do this for the last two and a half years, the results speak for themselves.

My Favourite Article Marketing Websites

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Are you interested in web promotion and web marketing? Have you discovered the power of article marketing yet? Would you like to increase the amount of visitors to your website? Are you eager to make yourself a whole heap of cash from your website. I am, of course, not entirely sure how you will have answered the above questions however they are ones that I most certainly would have answered yes to all of them. Taking my last eight years of experience, I truly believe that writing articles is one of the best, if not the best forms of promoting a website and in this article I am going to write about what in my opinion are the best five article marketing websites to submit your articles to.

I have been writing articles for eighteen months and I must say that I aim to continue writing more articles as a way of promoting my own websites for many more years to come. I have had great success from it and whats more it is free. I would strongly advise any person who is looking to gain more traffic to their sites to commence writing articles asap. As a rule I attempt or have a goal to write an average of one article per day. On certain days when I have more time or when I am in the mood for it, I write a lot more than just one, my record thus far has been seven in one day.

In every day life I am involved with various products including quality external doors and a service offering cheap mobile phone calls.

By way the best article marketing site has to be EzineArticles. It is important to be clear about their guidelines when submitting to this site as they do not accept any old rubbish, which of course has to be a good thing.

I also submit to articlealley, articledashboard, goarticles and ideamarketers.

I used to also submit my articles to searchwarp but they have had a bit of a disaster and they now use the no follow rule on all links in the author bio.

One other article directory which I have heard is very good is buzzle. This is a site that I have heard great things about and is one which could possibly feature in my list of “five favourite article marketing websites” in the future.

Article Marketing is a Cheap but Effective Marketing Method

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Article marketing is a very popular and cheap form of advertising, increasing the business authority and the market impact in a specific field of activity. Article marketing is defined by the writing of web content around some very specific keywords and the submission of these materials in web directories. Even if it has increased in popularity with the upsurge of the Internet, article marketing is by no means new; in fact, it has been used in combination with mass print for decades. This is how it works!

Newspapers often print articles written by businesses that provide free material for the publication on the one condition that the contact information be specified too. This arrangement works perfectly for everybody involved. For instance you can read about how to prepare your home and garden for winter just before the cold months begin, and such content is offered by a business that deals in insulation systems. There are hundreds of similar examples for article marketing, and the strategies are used worldwide.

Things go on in pretty much a similar way on the Internet, where web developers submit articles to spread the word about their business. The submission to article directories is usually free of charge since the website owner collects most of his/her revenue from advertising. The traffic and the page ranking depend on the creation of backlinks through article submission to web directories. The more backlinks you create, the more relevant visitors you attract to your main web page.

Article marketing is also closely connected to search engine optimization, since a lot of web content is written around the main keywords that define a business on the market. These materials target niches with highly-interested readers, and have the highest chances of making profit. Due to the links included in the informative content, articles attract hundreds if not thousands of web visitors that navigate from link to link until they reach your web site. With a backlink, reference is being made to the business site.

Article marketing works with social networks like LinkedIn and Facebook that provide the right environment for the propagation of materials. What differentiates between the various web developers that use article marketing is the quality of the materials they publish. Normally, the standards should be kept up so that the provided materials are relevant for the reader and illustrative for a business.
